Yuen Long Plaza (元朗廣場[Remark 1][Remark 2], Citybus Location Code YLP) bus stop is an on-street en-route stop located outside Yuen Long Plaza and opposite to LR Fung Nin Road Stop on eastbound Castle Peak Road - Yuen Long, Yuen Long Town, Yuen Long District, New Territories.
History[]
The first generation KMB Yuen Long Depot was located at the current site of Yuen Long Plaza, which was once a major bus depot of KMB. The land for the depot was later rebuilt into Yuen Long Plaza, which opened in 1989.
Yuen Long Plaza bus stop is situated near the Light Rail (LR) Fung Nin Road Stop. As the eastbound carriageway accommodates only two lanes of traffic, bus stops frequently cause congestion and thus certain routes began diverting to the "Hi Lee Path" stop in the late 1990s to alleviate road pressure.
Previously, Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) and Long Win Bus (LWB) designated this stop and the westbound bus stop opposite as "Yuen Long Police Station". It was not until May 2011 that the stop was renamed to its current designation, following the renaming adopted by MTR Bus.
Additionally, this stop formerly served as the terminus for the MTR Bus routes K73 and K74, operating as the "Yuen Long (West)" circular point. Route K73 relocated to Yuen Long (West) Bus Terminus in December 2015, while the K74 route moved to Yuen Long (East) Bus Terminus in October 2006.

This stop is located outside Yuen Long Plaza, adjacent to Kik Yeung Road Cooked Food Market, Yuen Long (West) Bus Terminus and On Shun Street. LR Fung Nin Road Stop and Yuen Long Police Station are located slant opposite to this stop.
