Wan O Road (環澳路) is a bus stop on Wan O Road opposite Wings At Sea LOHAS Park in Siu Chik Sha, Tseung Kwan O South, Sai Kung District in the New Territories, and is an intermediate stop for the eastbound and westbound routes.
Citybus names this stop Wings At Sea LOHAS Park (日出康城晉海).
History[]
Since 10 February 2014, special trips of NWFB routes 796P and 796X observed Wan O Road southbound after departing from LOHAS Park Station, then turned around on the road and returned to Wan O Road northbound for other areas to serve the residential areas away from LOHAS Park Station. At that time, there were parking bays and bus stops on the eastbound and westbound sides of Wan O Road, but none of the passing routes had any stops there. The route has since been extended to run via Wan O Road on both journeys and more bus routes began to use this road.
Starting from 5 January 2020, Wan O Road was be temporarily closed for the Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Link project. The relevant routes were diverted to turn around at Chun Yat Street and Chun Sing Street.[4]
On 11 December 2022, Tseung Lam Highway was opened to traffic and Wan O Road was re-opened, but the turnaround point was demolished and bus routes still had to turn around at Chun Sing Street[5] while the original bus stop was used for the routes to and from LOHAS Park via Tseung Lam Highway that were to be opened the following day.
