Wai Ching Industrial Company Limited (偉程實業有限公司) is a GMB operator serving the Sha Tin District, Tai Po District and Kwai Tsing District, and it operates six GMB routes in the New Territories .
Wai Ching Industrial's Passenger Service Licence (PSL) number is 18376C, and its hotline number is 9889 6512 or 9889 6526.
In addition, it is one of the few GMB operators in Hong Kong to own a Mitsubishi Rosa minibus and is the only operator using a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus.
History[]
On 4 July 2019, the Transport Department (TD) invited tenders for five groups of GMB routes, of which one group of four routes, including 29, 413, 806A and 806B, was awarded to Wai Ching Industrial. With the exception of Route 29 which commenced service on 2 March in 2020, the other three routes commenced service first on 1 March in the same year.
One year later on 1 March 2021, Route 806C commenced service.
On 31 July 2022, Route 806M commenced service.

Minibus Fleet[]
Currently a total of 36 minibuses are deployed on Routes NT GMB Routes 29, 413, 806A, 806B, 806C and 806M operated under Wai Ching Industrial, including 6 16-seater and 30 19-seater minibuses.
Among all these minibuses, those without commercial advertisements sticked on Route 806 series are affixed with route promotion advertisements of the set of routes; all minibuses running on the set of routes are equipped with intercoms for drivers and regulators to report on service conditions; vehicles of the set of routes not equipped with side electronic signs have plastic plates writing "806" sticked on windows.

Besides, for the convenience of passengers travelling to and from the Princess Margaret Hospital, the tender states that one low-floor minibus which is capable of loading and unloading wheelchairs must be deployed within a year starting from the date of commencement of this route. The minibus entered operations on 24 February 2021 and operates during daytime on Mondays to Fridays and morning hours during Saturdays.[2]
Related Incidents[]
- 4 April 2020: The windows of a batch of minibuses parked at the Wan Tau Tong Bus Terminus were smashed and defaced with sprays [3]; about a month later, on 10 May, the windows of another batch of minibuses under the Mitsubishi Rosa were smashed and spray-painted at the Wan Tau Tong Bus Terminus, including EV944, a Mitsubishi Rosa, and VC150, which had been seconded from the Kowloon Route 69 series under Smart Champion Investments to the Route 806 series, and it was suspected that this incident was related to the activities of a local power group which was unhappy with the occupation of a lay-by by the Route 806 series which hindered the group's activities.[4]
