Tseung Lam Highway (將藍公路) connects Wan O Road in Siu Chik Sha, Tseung Kwan O South, Tseung Kwan O Town Centre at the junction of Po Shun Road, Po Yap Road, Chui Ling Road and Lam Tin Interchange in Cha Kwo Ling, Kwun Tong, with the section of Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel, being part of Route 6. It was opened on 11 December 2022.

Tseung Lam Highway is the fourth public road transport link in Tseung Kwan O New Town, comprising Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel, Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Link and Road P2.

History[]

The Government named the sections of Tseung Kwan O-Lam Tin Tunnel and Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Link as "Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Highway", which was formally gazetted on 25 November 2022 for implementation.[1]

Structure[]

Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel[]

The main article of this section is Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel.

The Tseung Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel is about 3.8 kilometres long and is bi-directional, with Tseung Kwan O Interchange and Lam Tin Interchange at both ends of the tunnel connecting to various districts, and a branch road in the westbound tube leading directly to the Eastern Harbour Crossing.

Tseung Kwan O Cross-Bay Link[]

The main article of this section is Tseung Kwan O Cross-Bay Link.

The Cross-Bay Link is about 1.8 kilometres long and runs in an east-west direction, starting from Tseung Kwan O Interchange in the west and ending at Wan O Road in the east, crossing Junk Bay.

Road P2[]

Road P2 runs in a dual north-south direction from the junction of Po Shun Road, Po Yap Road and Chui Ling Road in the north to the Tseung Kwan O Interchange on Junk Bay in the south, with a slip road in the southbound direction connecting with Tong Yin Street eastbound heading for Tseung Kwan O Town Centre South, and in the northbound direction there is also a slip road leading to Tong Yin Street northbound heading for Tiu Keng Leng.
