The SKYCITY Transport Terminal (航天城交通總匯[Remark 1][Remark 2], Citybus Location Code SKY, whereas KMB and LWB Location Code 航總) is located at G/F, 11 SKIES, 8 Sky City Road East, SKYCITY, Hong Kong International Airport, Islands District, New Territories.
The public transport interchange adopts an indoor design with a number of sawtooth-shaped stops, combining a bus terminus, a green minibus terminus and a taxi stand. Vehicles are required to enter the terminus from Second Sky Street and exit from Third Sky Street.
History[]
The Airport Authority is actively pursuing the "SKYCITY" development project to create a retail, dining and entertainment precinct that will not only enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Hong Kong International Airport, but also serve as a strategic project for the overall development of Lantau Island and Hong Kong.
The SKYCITY integrated retail, dining and entertainment complex is scheduled for completion in phases from 2023 to 2027. Upon completion, the City will be the largest retail, dining and entertainment centre in Hong Kong with a transport interchange to meet visitors' needs. [1]
To tie in with the completion and opening of the integrated retail, dining and entertainment facilities at SkyCity in 2023, franchised bus routes previously using the AsiaWorld-Expo Bus Terminus were relocated to this terminus on 26 November, and at the same time Citybus Route A23 and LWB Route A33X on both directions, Citybus Route S56 towards Tung Chung as well as NLB Route B4 detoured here[2][3][4]; however, LWB Route A43P was not relocated as the above routes.
