The New Territories Residents' Bus Route NR741 is operated by Hang Po Transportation (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 10586A). It runs between Sun Tuen Mun Centre and Wan Chai[Remark 1], providing outbound and inbound services during morning and afternoon peak hours respectively on Mondays to Fridays.
History[]
- 11 November 1996: Residents' Bus Route 741R entered service.[1]
- TBC: Renumbered as NR741.
- 11 November 2013: Fare was adjusted to $20.0.
- 18 November 2013: Outbound trips no longer stopped at "Murray Road Carpark" stop and was replaced by a stop outside Lambeth Walk Rest Garden on Murray Road due to the Murray Road Carpark demolition works.[2]
- 2019: A new stop was added at The Trend Plaza for return direction. According to information from the Transport Department, the arrangement took effect in April 2019, but the operator did not announce it until mid-June.[3]
- 1 August 2019: Joined the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme.[4]
- 27 March 2020: Saturday services were cancelled.[5]
- 25 September 2022: Joined the Public Transport Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Eligible Persons with Disabilities.[6]
- 3 July 2023: The return trip departure at 17:30 was cancelled.[7]
