Po Tin BBI - Po Tin Bus Terminus (寶田轉車站-寶田總站) is located between Blocks 5, 6 and 8 of Po Tin Estate, below Po Tin Shopping Centre's Podium on 99 Ming Kum Road, Leung Tin, Tuen Mun District, New Territories. It is a covered bus terminus, equipped with four sets of parallel lay-bys and parking spaces, as well as a taxi stand and a green minibus stop.

The entrance and exit of this bus terminus is located at the intersection of Ming Kum Road, Tsun Wen Road and Hing Kwai Street.

History[]

"Po Tin Interim Housing" (寶田中轉房屋) was completed in 2000 with 9 28-storey buildings and 8,736 units.The estate has complete facilities, including shopping malls, markets and an adjacent covered parallel bus terminal named "Po Tin Public Transport Interchange" (寶田公共轉車站)[1] that opened on 27 August.

Kowloon Bus launched Route 260X on the same day between this stop and Kowloon Railway Station, replacing Special Morning Air-Conditioned Routes 258B and 258C. The next day, Route 58M added a special morning trip from this stop. Light Rail Auxiliary Bus Route A59 also moved from Leung King Estate to this stop as its circular route return point in September.

Route 258D to and from East Kowloon was upgraded to a full-day service in May 2004, and the Tuen Mun District terminus was moved from Leung King Estate to this stop.

KMB once called this stop "Po Tin Bus Terminus" (寶田總站), and changed to its current name in February 2023.

Related Incidents[]

  • 10 December 2015: At around 11pm, a drunk man took Route 260X and fell when he got off the bus at Po Tin Bus Terminus in Tuen Mun. An auxiliary police officer saw this and when he was about to help him up, the man suddenly pulled out a revolver from his waist and waved it. The auxiliary police immediately called the police. After the police arrived at the scene, they confirmed that the pistol in question was an imitation gun. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of imitation firearms. [2]
