Related incidents[]
- 12 April 2022: At around 7pm, a Toyota Coaster (UJ7768) heading towards To Kwa Wan (Tam Kung Road) hit a male pedestrian at Sheung Shing Street towards Tin Kwong Road near Wa Ying Secondary School after suspecting to have failed to brake timely. The male pedestrian was seriously hit and fell into a coma, and was later succumbed to his injuries after being sent to Kwong Wah Hospital for emergency treatment.[1]
- Police later revealed that the 81-year-old minibus driver's driving licence had expired for more than two months. The driver was sentenced to one year's imprisonment, five years' driving licence suspension and a fine of $4,000 on 26 September 2023 after pleading guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a valid driving licence.[2]
