The Public Light Bus Shau Shek Route runs between Shau Kei Wan Station and Shek O, via Big Wave Bay.
This route overlaps with Citybus Route 9 almost exactly in terms of service area, except that this route serves Big Wave Bay whole day, whereas the latter serves there only with few designated trips.
This route has been added to the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme, in which passengers who use Octopus to pay their fares will be included in the calculation of the subsidy.

For the convenience of those who leave Shek O in the early hours of the morning, this route provides minibus booking service, which is a package service that can be provided for out-of-service hours. According to the notice on the bus, if you want to take a minibus after the closing time, you can call the Night Shift Hotline at 6123 9062 or 98089425 before 1am to make a booking, and the charge is $192.0 for each vehicle.

Priority for villagers[]
Residents of Shek O and Big Wave Bay Village can apply for a villager travel pass (Chinese name: 紅Van石澳大浪灣村民乘車證) from the minibus operator. During peak hours, holders of the pass will be given priority in boarding the buses and will be spared from queuing (quota of 4 persons per minibus).
