Ngan Shing Street (銀城街) is a road in Yuen Chau Kok, Sha Tin District, New Territories, on the east side of the Shing Mun River. It runs in the shape of "[", starting from Siu Lek Yuen Road next to City One Shatin Block 1 in the north, going southwest through City One Shatin, then turning south, then turning south-southeast, south up to Sha Tin Wai Road, the entire section is two-way southbound and northbound[Remark 1].

Ngan Shing Street is the main way in and out of City One Shatin and Prince of Wales Hospital. Many bus routes pass through it and there are stations. The traffic is quite busy, but only a few buses pass through the section south of Chap Wai Kon Street. Currently, only KMB Route 82K and LWB Route N42 pass through the entire Ngan Shing Street in both directions, and Cross-Harbour Route 682B to Chai Wan (East) direction Route routes also pass through the entire northbound section of Ngan Shing Street.

History[]

Ngan Shing Street emerged due to the development of City One Shatin. City One Shatin was completed in phases in 1982, and Ngan Shing Street was gazetted and named on 13 November, 1981, together with the other private roads in City One Shatin.[1]; At that time, Ngan Shing Street only ran from Siu Lek Yuen Road (not yet named at the time) to Tak Yee Street.

With the completion of Yue Tin Court and Prince of Wales Hospital, the authorities also extended Ngan Shing Street southward to Sha Tin Wai Road, on 17 December, 1982[2].
