The New Territories Green Minibus Route 94 is operated by 94 Licensed Mini-Bus Management Company Limited (94專綫小巴管理有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 11504C) under Min Kee Motors. It runs between Shek Wai Kok and Kwai Shing Circuit, via Lei Muk Shue, North Kwai Chung (←Wo Yi Hop Road), Kwai Hing and Kwai Fong.

History[]

KMB had proposed to operate a new route 32D running between Shek Wai Kok and Kwai Shing in the "1982-83 Bus Route Development Programme"; however, Transport Department (TD) considered that there was insufficient demand for the route, and proposed to provide an additional Green Minibus route instead.[1]

  • 10 September 1982: The Transport Department (TD) announced in the Gazette that it had invited open tender for the Operating right of a total of 25 new green minibus (GMB) routes in 11 groups, including this route.[2]
  • 15 March 1983: Route 94 entered service, running between Shek Wai Kok and Kwai Shing Circuit.[3]
  • 29 December 1989: Following the commencement of Route 5, Cheung Pei Shan Road cannot reach Wo Yi Hop Road, and the round trip re-routed via Wo Yi Hop Interchange, Sam Tung Uk Road, Yi Pei Chun Road and Shek Wai Kok Road, omitting Cheung Pei Shan Road.
  • 20 April 1990: Detoured via Lei Muk Shue Estate (Ngong Hom Road and Lei Shue Road) for Kwai Shing Circuit direction daily between 07:30 and 19:00.
  • 29 April 1991: Additional short-working trips between Lei Muk Shue Estate and Kwai Shing Circuit were introduced, with the service hours being 07:00 - 19:00 daily, with a frequency of 10 minutes and a total of 5 vehicles dispatched.
  • Circa 1995: The above short-working trips are independently numbered as "94A".
  • 17 January 2004: At around 2:00 pm, both directions were detoured via Lei Muk Shue Estate Public Transport Interchange opened on the same day.[4]
  • 1 February 2019: The intermediate stop at Kwai Yi Road towards Kwai Shing Circuit was relocated to Kwai Tsui Estate Public Transport Interchange following the commencement of the terminus.[5]
  • 22 December 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route.[6]
  • 26 June 2022: The last trip for both directions were advanced to 23:00.[7]
