The New Territories Green Minibus Route 813 is operated by Rock Smart Development Limited (樂聰發展有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 14452C). It runs between Shui Chuen O and Shek Mun Estate, via Prince of Wales Hospital Li Ka Shing Specialist Clinics and City One Shatin.
History[]
- 6 June 2014: The Transport Department (TD) invited open tenders for the right to operate eight new GMB routes in six groups, this route and Route 812 was grouped as a same series, among which a special trip of the route running between Shui Chuen O and Shatin Hospital (i.e. the existing Route 813A) was placed under Group 4a.[1][2]
- 28 June 2015: Route 813 commenced service in conjunction with the occupation of Shui Chuen O Estate, running between Shui Chuen O and Shek Mun Station.[3]
- 19 September 2016: Detoured via Shui Chuen O Public Transport Interchange for Shek Mun direction.
- 1 February 2018: Shek Mun terminus Station moved to Shek Mun Estate. Shek Mun-bound minibuses were rerouted via On Kwan Street, On Yiu Street and On Ming Street after On Lai Street; Shui Chuen O-bound minibuses were rerouted via Siu Lek Yuen Road, omitting Chap Wai Kon Street and Prince of Wales Hospital. - 22 December 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route.[6]
- 31 October 2022: Discounted amount for Adult Octopus MTR interchange concession was increased from 30¢ to 50¢.
- 9 January 2023: [7]
- Shek Mun Estate-bound was rerouted via Siu Lek Yuen Road southbound and On Ming Street, not via Tai Chung Kiu Road;
- The service time was changed to 06:30 - 11:00, 14:00 - 17:00 and 20:00 - 22:30 every day, with other times replaced by Route 813A;
- Departures between 06:30 - 08:30 and 14:00 - 16:00 on Monday to Friday detoured via Pok Chuen Street near TWGHs Tsoi Wing Sing Primary School.
