The New Territories Green Minibus Route 811 is operated by Himwell Limited (興銳有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 10057C). It runs between Sui Wo Court and Yu Chui Court, via Fo Tan Industrial Area, Royal Ascot, MTR Fo Tan Station, City One Shatin and Prince of Wales Hospital.

During the morning peak hours, this route operates a special departure running circular between City One Shatin and Fo Tan Industrial Area without passing through Lok King Street and Lok Lam Road. The front route plate of the special departure only displays a white plate or "Special Departure", and cards with words "Special Departure" are also placed on the windscreen and beside the door for identification; but the departure is not listed in the Transport Department's Schedule of Services.

History[]

  • 10 March 2000: The Transport Department invited open tender for the right to operate eight new green minibus routes in six groups, of which this route was one of them.[1][2]
  • 6 November 2000: Route 811 commenced service, running between Sui Wo Court and Prince of Wales Hospital.
  • 15 June 2003: Extended to Yu Chui Court.[3]
  • 19 June 2006: Additional short-haul trips were introduced between Prince of Wales Hospital and Fo Tan Station during morning and afternoon peak hours from Mondays to Saturdays to tie in with the service curtailment of KCR Feeder Bus Route K11.[4] The short-working trip was subsequently numbered independently as 811P.
  • From 15 January to 14 April 2007: Passengers using Octopus Card could enjoy $3.5 section fare and $0.5 fare concession for same day return trip to tie in with the discontinuation of Route K11.[5]
  • 28 June 2022: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced on this route. [6]
