The New Territories Green Minibus Route 810 is operated by Kwok Chung Motor Car (國松汽車有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 12913C). It runs between Sha Tin (Wai Wah Centre) and Ma On Shan (Villa Athena), via Yuen Wo Road, Shek Mun, A Kung Kok, Tai Shui Hang and Ma On Shan Town Centre.

This route is officially a circular route as listed in the according to Transport Department's Schedule of Services, but under any circumstances, all passengers must alight after the vehicle has arrived at Villa Athena, therefore it belongs to a fake circular route.

In order to enhance the service of Route 810, the Transport Department has approved that the morning peak hour services will not serve Po Tai Street and the operator will arrange another special trip to run the service from Ocean View on Po Tai Street and passengers from surrounding housing estates. In addition, due to the long journey, the department has also approved the operator to arrange some special departures from intermediate stops and reduce detours in some areas to meet the needs of peak hours.[1]

History[]

  • 31 December 1998: The Transport Department invited open tenders of 8 groups of 12 new minibus routes, this route was one of them.[2]
  • 1 October 1999: Route 810 entered service.
  • January 2001: Rerouted via Ning Tai Road and Sai Sha Road.
  • December 2012: Special trips between Ma On Shan (Villa Athena) and Kam Tai Court during weekdays and holidays were introduced.
  • 28 June 2022: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [3]
  • 29 September 2024: The nominal operator was changed from Champion Legends Limited (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 9450C) to Kwok Chung Motor Car Limited (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 12913C) following the reorganisation of PSLs.
