The New Territories Green Minibus (GMB) Route 807A is operated by Fully Mint Limited (富明有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 7868C). It runs between University Station and Ma On Shan Station.

According to the Schedule of Services of the Transport Department, Route 807A runs via Yan On Estate and Chung On Estate to University Station on the outbound journey, while on the return journey it runs directly in the opposite direction of Route 807C to University Station via Ma On Shan Road on the return journey. However, in actual operation, the operator only deploys minibuses for the outbound journey to Bayshore Towers via Yan On Estate, while there are no minibuses deployed for the return journey to University Station via Ma On Shan Road. Passengers who wish to travel from University Station to stops along Ma On Shan Road and On Luk Street can take Route 807K.

When Route 807A arrives at Bayshore Towers, it will change to operate as Route 807C and go to University Station via Yan On Estate, and after arriving at University Station, it will change back to operate as Route 807A, and the cycle repeats itself[1]. As the service areas of the two routes are almost the same, there may be route signs of both routes displayed on the windscreen of the front of the bus or the side windows of the bus, so passengers can ask for the route before boarding.

History[]

  • 23 January 2005: In accordance with the public transport service plan after the commissioning of the Ma On Shan Rail, Route 807A was put into service between the University KCR Station and Ma On Shan (Bayshore Towers), with both directions passing through Heng On Station and Chung On Estate, replacing KMB Route 287K which was cancelled on the same day.[2]
  • 1 April 2018:[3]
    • The terminus was relocated to "Bayshore Towers" bus stop on Sai Sha Road, and no longer operated via On Chiu Street, On Chun Street and Bayshore Towers Minibus Terminus;
    • Rerouted via Sai Sha Road and Ma On Shan Road for University Station direction, with the section between Chung On Estate and Yan On Estate being replaced by Route 807C;
    • An Octopus interchange concession with Route 807B was added to tie in with the latter's truncated route no longer going to University Station.
  • 14 October 2019: Due to the construction of Yan On Estate Phase II, the northbound exit from Ma On Shan Road to Hang Tai Road northbound was closed, and the northbound exit from Hang Tai Road is prohibited to turn right into Hang Fai Street eastbound.[4][5] Ma On Shan Station-bound route was rerouted to go via Sai Sha Road to Hang Fai Street, and an intermediate stop was provided outside We Go Mall on Sai Sha Road.
  • 25 March 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [6]
  • 23 January 2022: Fare payment by AlipayHK "EasyGO" was accepted.[7]
