The New Territories Overnight Green Minibus (GMB) Route 805S is operated by Kwok Chung Motor Car Limited (國松汽車有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 12913C). It runs between Ma On Shan (Kam Ying Court) and Mong Kok (Fa Yuen Street Municipal Services Building, via Ma On Shan Town Centre, Yiu On Estate, Chevalier Garden, A Kung Kok and Lion Rock Tunnel, with additional detours via Wong Tai Sin, San Po Kong and Kowloon City for Mong Kok direction.

History

• 6 November 1992: The Transport Department invited tenders of 12 groups with 19 new green minibus routes, with this route and route 804 and 805S were grouped into the same series.
• 29 September 1993: Route 803 entered service, with both directions passing through Tate's Cairn Tunnel at that time.
• 25 August 2013: Rerouted via Lion Rock Tunnel with a lower toll and no longer passed through Tate's Cairn Tunnel from the first departure onwards, and at the same time detoured via Wong Tai Sin, San Po Kong and Kowloon City for Mong Kok direction; this arrangement was initially on a trial basis for 3 months, and was made permanent upon expiry of the trial period.
• 1st quarter of 2014: Some trips to Kam Ying Court omitted Chevalier Garden Bus Terminus.
• 25 June 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route.

Related incidents

• 29 September 2007: A Mong Kok-bound Toyota Coaster collided head-on with a private car that had lost control and crossed the lane while dodging a dark shadow in Tate's Cairn Tunnel, injuring six people and the driver of the private car was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
• 2 March 2009: A Ma On Shan-bound Toyota Coaster collided with a KMB Enviro500 travelling on Cross-Harbour Bus Route N680 at A Kung Kok Street near Mui Tsz Lam Road due to a runaway vehicle crossing the lane; no one was injured in the incident.
• 22 December 2009: A Mong Kok-bound Toyota Coaster was suspected to have failed to retract its brakes at the traffic lights on Waterloo Road, Kowloon Tong, and crashed into a taxi stopped at the red light in front of it, injuring the taxi driver who was sent to hospital.
