The New Territories Green Minibus (GMB) Route 501C is operated by Fully Mint Limited (富明有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 7868C) under Ma Ah Muk. It runs circular between Yung Shing Court and Luen Wo Hui, via Wo Hing Tsuen, MTR Fanling Station and On Lok Tsuen.
This route and Route 501K only provide service during the morning peak hours on Mondays to Saturdays, and are replaced by the merged route 501C for the rest of the day.
History[]
As early as 2000 when Yung Shing Court was first occupied, representatives of the estate twice applied to the Transport Department (TD) for operating residents' buses for travelling to and from the MTR Fanling Station, but the applications were rejected by the Bureau.[1][2]
- 12 March 2006: Route 501A entered service as a supplementary route to Route 501K to serve the residents in the area of Yung Shing Court and Cheong Shing Court.[3]
- At that time, the terminus of Yung Shing Court was located outside the Yung Shing Court Ancillary Facilities Building on Fai Ming Road and opposite to Pentecostal Yu Leung Fat Primary School.
- 10 September 2006: Yung Shing Court terminus was relocated to an indoor terminus on the ground floor of the Yung Shing Court Ancillary Facilities Building.[4]
- 7 August 2009: Due to insufficient patronage of the evening trips of both Routes 501A and 501K, departures after 18:00 daily were merged with this route which ran between Yung Shing Court and Luen Wo Hui, and the return journey was detoured Yan Shing Court and Yat Ming Road.[5]
- According to the information provided by the Transport Department, the route and departures are purely special trips of this route, but in fact they are operated under the route number 501A/501K.
- 25 March 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [6]
- 14 June 2021: The combined route was separately numbered as 501C and its service hours were extended to after 10:00 am on weekdays and whole day of holidays, while this route was reduced to serve before 10:00 am on Mondays to Saturdays.[7]
- 23 January 2022: Fare payment by AlipayHK "EasyGO" was accepted.[8]
