The New Territories Green Minibus Route 41 is operated by Eternal Loyal Limited (恒忠有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 11210C) under Yau Man Investment. It runs between Lung Mun Oasis and Tuen Mun Town Centre (Tuen Fat Road).

History[]

  • 21 February 2003: The Transport Department (TD) invited open tenders for 8 groups of a total of 13 green minibus (GMB) routes, this route was one of them.[1]
  • 8 June 2003: Route 41 entered service, running between Lung Mun Oasis and Chi Lok Fa Yuen.[2]
  • 4 April 2009: Daily departures from Chi Lok Fa Yuen at 09:00 - 16:30 were detoured via Tuen Yan Street, Tuen Fat Road and Tuen Shing Street for the convenience of passengers heading to Tuen Mun Eye Clinic and Yan Oi Polyclinic.
  • 1 May 2011: The time periods detouring via Tuen Yan Street, Tuen Fat Road and Tuen Shing Street was extended to 17:00.[3]
  • 8 January 2012: All trips detoured via Tuen Yan Street, Tuen Fat Road and Tuen Shing Street.[4]
  • 4 October 2021: The terminus was officially changed to Tuen Mun Town Centre (Tuen Fat Road) with detours via Chi Lok Fa Yuen (Yan Oi Market) for Lung Mun Oasis direction.
  • 22 December 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route.[5]
  • 3 July 2022: Changed to detour via Chi Lok Fa Yuen (Yan Oi Market) for Tuen Mun Town Centre direction and directly call at Handsome Court stop for Lung Mun Oasis direction on a trial basis.
  • 22 July 2022: The arrangement of detouring via Chi Lok Fa Yuen (Yan Oi Market) for Lung Mun Oasis direction was resumed.

First generation Route 41[]

  • 26 August 1994: The Transport Department (TD) invited open tenders for 8 groups of a total of 21 GMB routes, among which the first generation Route 41 route was grouped together with routes 42, 608, 609 and 610S.[6]
  • 8 November 1995: First generation Route 41 entered service, running between Golden Beach and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier.[7]
  • 1998: Service was cancelled.

Notes:
  • Passengers must use the same Octopus Card to pay the fare for both the minibus and MTR to enjoy the above-mentioned interchange concession.
  • Passengers can enjoy the above interchange concession at any MTR station / minibus stop that connects to the second leg of the route.
  • The MTR ride does not apply to Light Rail, Airport Express, High-Speed Rail, MTR Bus and MTR Feeder Bus services.
  • The MTR interchange concession only applies to paid rides. Unless otherwise specified, passengers using the Monthly Pass Enhanced or Disneyland Resort Line Monthly Pass (including those who have paid First Class Supplementary Fare) cannot enjoy this concession when taking the MTR at designated stations; however, if Enhanced Monthly Pass or Disneyland Resort Line Monthly Ticket holders take paid rides outside the designated stations, the concession still applies.
  • If passengers have just used the same Octopus Card for the Airport Express "Free MTR Connection," they cannot simultaneously enjoy the MTR interchange concession.
  • If both "MTR Fare Saver" and "MTR Interchange Concession" are applicable, passengers can only enjoy one of the higher discounts.
  • Higher concession amounts are available for certain GMB routes at designated MTR stations.

According to the Transport Department "Schedule of Services", a total of 4 minibuses are required to serve this route. The total number of passengers carried in each direction during the peakiest hour is not less than 96.

Currently this route has a 3 16-seater Toyota Coaster LPG-minibuses. All the minibuses will support on other routes when necessary.
