The New Territories Green Minibus Route 407A, is operated by Fu Wan Public Light Minibus Company Limited (富運專線小巴有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 8768C) under Ma Ah Muk. It runs between Kwai Fung (Metroplaza) and Princess Margaret Hospital. It is a short-working service of Route 407.

History[]

  • 2000: Route 407A entered service.
  • 28 June 2022: Real Time Arrival Information System service was introduced to this route. [1]
  • 15 December 2024: Payment by AlipayHK "Easy Go" was accepted.[2]

Notes:
  • Passengers must use the same Octopus Card to pay the fare for both the minibus and MTR to enjoy the above-mentioned interchange concession.
  • Passengers can enjoy the above interchange concession at any MTR station / minibus stop that connects to the second leg of the route.
  • The MTR ride does not apply to Light Rail, Airport Express, High Speed Rail, MTR Bus and MTR Feeder Bus services.
  • The MTR interchange concession only applies to paid rides. Unless otherwise specified, passengers using the Monthly Pass Enhanced or Disneyland Resort Line Monthly Pass (including those who have paid First Class Supplementary Fare) cannot enjoy this concession when taking the MTR at designated stations; however, if Enhanced Monthly Pass or Disneyland Resort Line Monthly Ticket holders take paid rides outside the designated stations, the concession still applies.
  • If passengers have just used the same Octopus Card for the Airport Express "Free MTR Connection," they cannot simultaneously enjoy the MTR interchange concession.
  • If both "MTR Fare Saver" and "MTR Interchange Concession" are applicable, passengers can only enjoy one of the higher discounts.
  • Higher concession amounts are available for certain GMB routes at designated MTR stations.

Minibus deployments[]

According to the Schedule of Services of the Transport Department, this route requires the deployment of 3 minibuses from Route 407B which will provide services after the service hours of the route; three 19-seater minibuses from Route 407 can be deployed as a replacement. A total of not less than 64 passengers in each direction is expected during the peakiest hour.

Currently, this route and New Territories routes 406, 407 and 407B have a total of 23 Toyota Coaster minibuses, including 13 16-seater minibuses and 10 19-seater minibuses. All vehicles have unique numbers.

  2. The 5LL was originally a vehicle on Fu Wan's New Territories Routes 406/407 series fleet, and was changed to serve on Express Top Industries fleet, until August 2018 before retirement.
  3. That 5LS was originally a vehicle on Crown Score Industries' New Territories Routes 808/808P fleet, and was changed to serve on Mingfame and Brilliant Way fleets in April 2019 and May 2021 respectively, until December 2022 before retirement.
