The New Territories Green Minibus Route 33 is operated by Luxe Form Investment Limited (樂方投資有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 6121C) under Ma Ah Muk. It runs between Yuen Long (Tai Fung Street) and Ha Pak Lai, via Ping Ha Road, Lau Fau Shan Road, Deep Bay Road and Nim Wan Road.
Due to the greater demand of this route, the Transport Department allowed the operator to operate another auxillary route Resident Bus Route NR941 to support, while the service details of the latter are consistent with this route except for service times.
Currently this route is the daytime intra-district minibus route with the highest fare in Hong Kong.
History[]
- 10 September 1982: The Transport Department invited open tenders for a total of 25 GMB routes in groups of 11, with this route, Routes 34 and 35 being in the same group. [1]
- 1 September 1983: Route 33 entered service running between Yuen Long (Tai Fung Street) and Pak Lai (Fui Yiu), to prepare for the replacement of service of KMB Route 57 (cancelled on 1 March 1984). [2]
- Circa May 1985: Extended to Ha Pak Lai.[3]
- 15 July 1990: The last trip was delayed from 21:00 to 21:30. [4]
- 26 January 1992: Due to the change in driving direction of Yuen Long (Tai Fung Street), minibuses towards Sha Kiu Tsuen and Tsim Bei Tsui were rerouted via Yuen Long Tung Tai Street, Tai Lee Street and Wang Chau Road towards Yuen long On Ning Road; whereas minibuses towards Yuen Long were rerouted via Sai Tai Street towards the terminus.
- 22 August 1993: Morning peak hour short-working trips between Yuen Long (Tai Fung Street) and Sheung Pak Lai were introduced with a frequency of 9-minute interval.
- 14 December 2003: Detoured via Tin Shui Wai Station Public Transport Interchange. [5]
- 25 June 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [6]

According to Transport Department's Schedule of Services, this route required to serve by a total of 4 minibuses to provide service. It has a total capacity of not less than 48 passengers in each direction during the peakiest hour.
Current this route and New Territories Routes 34A and 35 have a total of 12 of Toyota Coaster minibuses, included 8 of 16-seater minibuses and 4 of 19-seater minibuses. All of these vehicles can support with other routes when the car breaks down, can also serve on Route 79S at night.
