The New Territories Late Night Green Minibus Route 112S is operated by Sure Ascent International Investment Company Limited (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 16047C). It runs between Tseung Kwan O Station and Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate, providing late night public transport service for Industrial Estate and LOHAS Park connecting to and from Tseung Kwan O Town Centre.

History[]

  • 18 December 2009: The Transport Department invited open tenders of the operating rights for a total of 5 green minibus routes in a group of 4, to which this route was included among them; however, the route eventually failed to commence service. [1]
  • 16 July 2010: The Transport Department invited open tenders of the operating rights for two new groups of GMB routes, among which this route was grouped together with Route 112M. [2]
  • Midnight at 14 February 2011 (i.e. late night hours on 15 February 2011): Route 112S entered service, running between 將Tseung Kwan O Station and Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate (Chun Cheong Street). [3] According to the Gazette[2], Route 112S would detour via LOHAS Park Station Public Transport Interchange after the residential projects along Lohas Park Road has occupied.
  • 17 June 2012: Detoured via LOHAS Park (Sunrise Boulevard) for Tseung Kwan O Station direction, with a new $6.0 section fare from Sunrise Boulevard to Tseung Kwan O Station.[4]
  • 1 July 2017: Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate terminus was relocated to Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate Public Transport Interchange.[5]
  • 28 June 2022: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced on this route. [6]

  • Passengers must use the same Octopus Card to pay the fare for both the minibus and MTR to enjoy the above-mentioned interchange concession.
  • Passengers can enjoy the above interchange concession at any MTR station / minibus stop that connects to the second leg of the route.
  • The MTR ride does not apply to Light Rail, Airport Express, High-Speed Rail, MTR Bus and MTR Feeder Bus services.
  • The MTR interchange concession only applies to paid rides. Unless otherwise specified, passengers using the Monthly Pass Enhanced or Disneyland Resort Line Monthly Pass (including those who have paid First Class Supplementary Fare) cannot enjoy this concession when taking the MTR at designated stations; however, if Enhanced Monthly Pass or Disneyland Resort Line Monthly Ticket holders take paid rides outside the designated stations, the concession still applies.
  • If passengers have just used the same Octopus Card for the Airport Express "Free MTR Connection," they cannot simultaneously enjoy the MTR interchange concession.
  • If both "MTR Fare Saver" and "MTR Interchange Concession" are applicable, passengers can only enjoy one of the higher discounts.
  • Higher concession amounts are available for certain GMB routes at designated MTR stations.
