The New Territories Green Minibus Route 103 is operated by Fonsilk Investment Limited (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 8590C). It runs between Kwun Tong Ferry Pier and Clear Water BaySecond Beach, passing through Tseung Kwan O Tunnel, Hang Hau (Po Ning Road, Hang Hau Road) and Clear Water Bay Road (Silverstrand to Tai Au Mun).
History[]
- 6 June 1997: The Transport Department invited open tenders for the operating rights of 19 sets of new green minibus (GMB) routes, among which this route was grouped with Route 104. [1]
- May 1998: Route 103 entered service, making it the first GMB route operated by Fonsilk Motor to serve Tseung Kwan O, and its fleet was even the first to have bell installed.
- 27 August 2002: Rerouted via Tseung Kwan O Station, Sheung Tak and Chiu Shun Road to facilitate with the opening of MTR Tseung Kwan O Line. Note that this change was not made effective on the same date as Route 103M.
- 30 August 2002: Resumed observing Po Ning Road and Po Shun Road to and from Tseung Kwan O Tunnel as the result of detouring via Tseung Kwan O Town Centre was unsatisfactory.
- April 201: Monday to Friday departures from 18:15 to 19:15 from Kwun Tong Ferry were rerouted via Wai Fat Road and Kwun Tong Road to Tseung Kwan O Road, omitting King Yip Street, Cha Kwo Ling Road, Lei Yue Mun Road and Kwun Tong Road.
- 19 June 2015: The first departures from Kwun Tong Ferry Pier and Clear Water Bay Second Beach were advanced to 05:25 and 06:00 respectively. [2]
- 28 June 2022: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [3]
