The Overnight Airbus Route NA33 is operated by Long Win Bus. It runs daily between Tuen Mun (Fu Tai) and Cathay Pacific City during overnight hours, via Siu Hong Court, Yan Tin Estate, Ching Tin Estate, Wo Tin Estate, Leung Tin, Tai Hing Estate, MTR Tuen Mun Station, Tuen Mun Central, On Ting Estate, San Shek Wan and Butterfly Beach, observing Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Road to and from the HZMB Hong Kong Port and the Hong Kong International Airport.

This is the cheapest and shortest Overnight Airbus Route, and is even the only one of its category of routes which does not pass through any Strategic Routes.

History[]

Every two years, the Airport Authority conducts a comprehensive transport demand survey, targeting airport visitors and staff working on the airport island, with a view to improving public transport services. In a survey conducted in 2014, Airport Island staff requested the bus companies to operate express overnight bus services so that they could get to and from work more quickly during the late night hours, and that visitors or members of the public arriving in Hong Kong late at night and early in the morning could also make use of such bus services. [2]

After receiving the feedback, the bus companies proposed to operate four express overnight bus routes NA21, NA29, NA33 and NA34 from the Airport to districts with high traffic demand respectively for a 3-month trial period in summer 2015. The AA will also subsidise the bus companies for the overnight express bus routes. If the actual fare revenue is less than the cost that the bus companies have agreed to bear, the AA will subsidise the difference.[1]

The four routes were subsequently named "Overnight Express Bus" (「通宵巴士快線」) and free shuttle buses were provided to staff in the cargo and catering areas for interchange to Cathay City (now Cathay Pacific City) and Terminal 1.
