The North Lantau External Bus Route E37 is operated by Long Win Bus (LWB). It runs between Tin Shui Wai Town Centre ^{[Remark 1]} and Airport (Ground Transportation Centre), passing through Tin Shui Wai North, Kingswood Villas, Tin Shui Estate, Tin Yiu Estate, and connects with Tung Chung Town Centre and Airport Logistics Area via Yuen Long Highway, Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Road and Shun Long Road.

This route was formerly known as Route E34A passing through Tai Lam Tunnel and Lantau Link, which was substantially rerouted and renumbered following the 2nd stage of bus route reorganisation for Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel, with identical stopping arrangements at Tin Shui Wai, Tung Chung and Airport except not stopping at Terminal 1 for Airport direction.

20 June 2021: To tie in with the Phase II Bus Route Rationalisation opening of Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel, Route E34A was renumbered as E37 and the following changes are implemented:^[1]^[2]
- Rerouted via Tuen Mun Road, Wong Chu Road, Lung Fu Road and Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Road and Shun Long Road, no longer passing through Tai Lam Tunnel and Lantau Link;
- Bus stops at Tai Lam Tunnel and Lantau Link Toll Plaza were cancelled and replaced by Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel Interchange;
- The en-route stop at Terminal 1 for Airport was cancelled;
- The section fare from Tsui Sing Lau to Tin Shui Wai Town Centre was reduced to $4.6.
2 November 2021: Octopus interchange concessions with New Lantao Bus (NLB) routes 3M, 11 and 23 were extended to 31 October 2022. ^[3]^[4]
15 May 2022: A new stop was added at "Vianni Cove" on Tin Kwai Road was added for Tin Shui Wai direction. ^[5]
11 July 2022: The service arrangements for special trips were amended: ^[6]
- Service hours of special trips departing from Chung Ki House Tin Chung Court were amended to 05:10, 06:22 and 07:34 on Mondays to Fridays, as well as 05:10 on Saturdays;
- Special trips from Tin Shui Estate to Airport (Ground Transportation Centre), as well as from Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal to Tin Shui Wai Town Centre were cancelled.
18 July 2022: Interchange concession with Route R33 was introduced.^[7]
1 November 2023: Octopus interchange concession with NLB Route 36 was introduced.^[8]^[9]
19 February 2024: The special departure at 07:34 from Chung Ki House Tin Chung Court was cancelled. ^[10]
23 September 2024: Service arrangements of special trips were amended:
- The special departure at 06:22 from Chung Ki House Tin Chung Court was cancelled;
- The last bus of special trips omitting Tin Shui Wai North was advanced to 07:52.

Controversies[]

After the renaming of Route E34A to Route E37 and its diversion to Tuen Mun Chek Lap Kok Tunnel, even though the mileage could be reduced and the journey time was faster during off-peak hours, the traffic congestion on Yuen Long Highway and Tuen Mun Road during peak hours increased the overall travelling time during the peak hours, which led to a request by Yuen Long District Council to revert to the operation of the route via the Tai Lam Tunnel during peak hours, or even the entire frequency of the route ^[15]. Less than a month later, TD started to explore with LWB the possibility of diverting the special trips of this route via Tai Lam Tunnel ^[16]. However, while TD had already implemented the E36S route for Route E36, there was still no plan for Route E37.

Related incidents[]

14 September 2022: At about 10:00 a.m., an Enviro500 MMC (UE6X23/XK2433) heading towards Airport (Ground Transportation Centre) was struck by a medium goods vehicle at the rear of the vehicle on Tuen Mun Road, and then rammed into two dump trucks, resulting in 10 injuries. ^[17]
19 January 2024: In the evening, a Volvo B8L (UV6X15/XM7820) heading towards Tin Shui Wai Town Centre hit a private car in the cut-off lane when it was turning into Tuen Mun Road from Wong Chu Road. ^[18]
