The Airbus Route A30 is operated by Long Win Bus (LWB). It runs between Lei Muk Shue and Airport (Ground Transportation Centre), via North Kwai Chung (Shek Lei, On Yam, Shek Yam), Kwai Hing and Kwai Fong.
This is the first LWB route via Lantau Link to head directly to HZMB Hong Kong Port then to Airport.
History[]
Commencing background[]
North Kwai Chung and Lei Muk Shue have not been served by direct bus routes to the Hong Kong International Airport for many years. In the 2020-2021 Bus Route Planning Programme, LWB and Transport Department (TD) proposed to introduce Route A30 from Shek Lei to and from the Airport via Lei Muk Shue, Kwai Hing, Kwai Fong and HZMB Hong Kong Port, and to reorganise Route A32 to operate via Tai Wo Hau and Tsing Yi Town Centre instead of Kwai Hing and Kwai Fong. The Administration would review the changes in passenger demand after the reorganisation of airport buses and reduce the frequency of Route E32.[1] The new route was welcomed by Kwai Tsing District members, while Tsuen Wan District considered that the design of the routing from Lei Muk Shue to Kwai Fong was unreasonable and ignored the demand of residents of Shek Wai Kok and Cheung Shan Estate for travelling to the Airport.[2][3]
The scheme was originally scheduled for implementation in the fourth quarter of 2020, but was delayed until 2023 due to a significant drop in demand for bus services to and from the airport as a result of the novel coronavirus outbreak, with the patronage of the Airport Bus Routes serving Kwai Tsing and the overnight Airport Bus Route dropping by about 70%[4] as compared to the pre-epidemic period. The route has also been re-routed to operate from Lei Muk Shue to the Airport, with a further detour in Kwai Chung via a section of Castle Peak Road - Kwai Chung outside Ping Lai Path.[5]

- 23 July 2023: A new stop was added at "Shek Foon House Shek Pai Street" on Shek Pai Street for Lei Muk Shue direction.[8]

＊: For interchanging from KMB Route B1 (Tin Tsz direction) to LWB Route A43P ( Airport direction), the actual fare paid for the first journey will be refunded for the next journey, except that the interchange concession cannot be enjoyed for the first journey of Route B1, otherwise, only the normal (i.e. maximum $6.0) interchange concession will be offered; for interchange from LWB Route A43P (Luen Wo Hui direction) to KMB Route B1 (Lok Ma Chau direction), passengers will be offered a free interchange concession for the second journey, but no interchange discount will be offered for the first journey of route A43P and no other interchange concession will be offered for route B1 thereafter.
