The Kowloon Green Minibus (GMB) Route 54M is operated by Better Coin Industrial Limited (勝運實業有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 5388C) under Ma Ah Muk. It runs circular between Shun Tin Estate and Ping Shek, passing through Shun On Estate , Shun Lee Estate and Choi Wan Estate (New Clear Water Bay Road).

This route is a short-working service of Route 54, which has the exact same routing as route 49M of the same series (but with a different Passenger Service Licence), and together they provide rail feeder services for Four Shun residents. Therefore, the two route numbers are often mixed, so there may be cases where minibuses are still dispatched outside the scheduled service hours.

In addition, this route is one of the mixed intra- and inter-district GMB routes, serving Kwun Tong District in the direction of Ping Shek, and Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong districts in the direction of Shun Tin. [1]

History[]

  • 13 August 2006: The short-working trip of Route 54 to/from Shun Tin Estate and Ping Shek rerouted Ping Shek Public Transport Interchange 1/F podium, omitting Ngau Chi Wan Bus-Bus Interchange, following the First floor podium opened.[2] At the same time, the above trips were independently numbered as 54M.
  • 24 September 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [3]
