The Kowloon Green Minibus (GMB) Route 54 is operated by Better Coin Industrial Limited (勝運實業有限公司) (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 5388C) under Ma Ah Muk. It runs between Shun Tin and Lok Fu, passing through Shun Lee Estate , Choi Wan Estate, MTR Choi Hung Station, San Po Kong (Choi Hung Road) and Wong Tai Sin (Tung Tau Tsuen Road).

History[]

  • 31 August 1990: The Transport Department launched an open tender for 14 groups of 27 new minibus routes, one of which is this route. [1]
  • 30 November 1991: Route 54 was put into service, running between Shun Tin and Lok Fu (Wang Tak House).[2]
  • 1 May 2004: Octopus interchange concession with the MTR was added.[3]
  • 24 September 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [4]

  • Same fare regardless of age.
  • Elderly persons aged 65 or above using Elderly Octopus or Personalised Octopus cards and eligible persons with disabilities using Personalised Octopus cards with "Persons with Disabilities Status" can enjoy a flat fare of $2.0 per journey under the Concessionary Fare.
  • Passengers are required to tender exact fare in cash or by Octopus card upon boarding. No change will be given.
  • Passengers who wish to pay the two-way section fares by Octopus card should press the "Section Fare" button on the Octopus fare processor to adjust the fare to the appropriate amount before tapping.
  • This route accepts payments with AlipayHK "EasyGo", but interchange concessions and the $2.0 flat fare per trip are not entitled with this payment method.

  • The MTR ride does not apply to Light Rail, Airport Express, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Rail, MTR Bus and MTR Feeder Bus services.
  • The MTR interchange concession only applies to paid rides. Unless otherwise specified, passengers using the Monthly Pass Enhanced Version or Disneyland Line Monthly Ticket (including those who have paid First Class Supplementary Fare) cannot enjoy this concession when taking the MTR at designated stations; however, if Enhanced Monthly Pass or Disneyland Resort Line Monthly Ticket holders take paid rides outside the designated stations, the concession still applies.
  • If passengers have just used the same Octopus Card for the Airport Express "Free MTR Connection," they cannot simultaneously enjoy the MTR interchange concession.
  • If both "MTR Fare Saver" and "MTR Interchange Concession" are applicable, passengers can only enjoy one of the higher discounts.
  • Higher concession amounts are available for certain GMB routes at designated MTR stations.

Related incidents[]

  • 21 August 2017: Around 11am, a Lok Fu-bound Toyota Coaster minibus (LU5647) hit the construction site under construction uncontrolled when passing through Lee On Road near Shun King Street and then hit a construction vehicle. A construction worker who could not avoid the accident was knocked down and rolled underneath the vehicle, while the driver of the minibus was trapped inside.[14]
