The Kowloon Green Minibus (GMB) Route 49 is operated by Koon Wing Motors Limited (冠榮車行有限公司)(Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 3289C) under Ma Ah Muk. It runs between Shun Tin and Kowloon City Ferry, providing service only during peak hours.
This route is officially a circular route as listed in the according to Transport Department's Schedule of Services, but under any circumstances, all passengers must alight after the vehicle has arrived at Kowloon City Ferry Pier, and there are separate departure times at the two termini, therefore it belongs to a fake circular route. In addition, the short-working service 49M runs between Shun Tin and MTR Choi Hung Station whole day every day, and has the same routing as Route 54M, making it a rare example of a short-distance service with longer service hours than the main route.
