The Kowloon Green Minibus (GMB) Route 37A is operated by Billiant Way Limited (Passenger Service Licence (PSL) No. 7478C) under Ma Ah Muk. It runs between Wong Tai Sinstation and Tsz Oi House Phrases 3, passing through Fung Wong Estate, Tsz Lok Estate (→) and Tsz Ching Estate (←), originally was "Wai Wah Street Line" on 37M.

According to official information, although this route is a two-way route, it actually operates as a circular route most of the time.

This is a branch route of Route 37M. Both routes are the most frequent official green minibus routes in Hong Kong, with the highest frequency reaching one departure every minute. Minibuses with cloth plates travelling this route will only display "37M" on the front of the bus, and a "37A Wai Wah Street" placard will be placed on the windshield for easy identification by passengers. As for the minibuses equipped with eight electric signs, they will display "Tsz Wan Shan 37A Wong Tai Sin Station", while the Transfull electric signs will display "37A Tsz Wan Shan North" [Remark 2] or "37A Wong Tai Sin Station".

History[]

  • 5 December 1993: Services between Wong Tai Sin MTR Station and Tsz Lok Estate of Route 37M were introduced[1]
  • 20 June 2011: The "Wai Wah Street line" (惠華街線) and "Tsz Lok Estate auxiliary line" running to and from Tsz Wan Shan and Tsz Wan Shan Centre were independently numbered as Route 37A.[2]
  • 1 October 2017: The Tsz Lok Estate axuiliary service was independently numbered as Route 37B (now cancelled).
  • 24 September 2021: Real-time Arrival Information System was introduced to this route. [3]
  • 26 November 2023: The Wong Tai Sin Station terminus was relocated from Shatin Pass Road to the newly-completed Wong Tai Sin Public Light Bus (Scheduled Service) Terminus. [4]
  • 2 March 2024: The discounted amount of the Adult Octopus interchange concession with MTR was increased to $1.0 with the designated stop at Wong Tai Sin Station, until 1 September 2024.

Remarks[]

  3. In addition, there is a concessionary fee of $3.3 for Elderly Octopus until 28 February of the same year.
  4. Numbers placed after the model Toyota Coaster (if any) are only used within the transport enthusiasts, others (including the industry) does not use such names.
  5. Original plate number LB7978, was originally a vehicle on Sai Kung P.L.B.'s New Territories Routes 1 series/7/9 fleet, and was changed to serve on PLB Ping Tsuen Route fleet in 2012, after that the plate no. changed in 2015.
  6. The plate number once used to a 2005 5LS2 on Express Top Industries' New Territories Route 44A and Sheung Shui PLB's New Territories Route 51K fleets.
