History[]
Hop Kwan Special Route Public Light Bus Company Limited was an early operator of green minibus routes in Yuen Long District, providing green minibus services (31 and 32) to residents in both Ping Shan South and Hung Shui Kiu areas, with destinations at Tong Yan San Tsuen and Tan Kwai Tsuen, and a terminus in Yuen Long Town at Hong King Street.
With the opening of KCR West Rail, two routes have become different termini, but both routes take "Castle Peak Road → Yuen Long Station → Long Lok Road → Hong King Street → Castle Peak Road" as the route alignment to maintain co-ordination, and the minibuses of the company often take a break at the Long Lok Road Minibus Terminus. In 2009, Hop Kwan introduced a supplementary route "31A" to provide a short-working circular service between Tong Yan San Tsuen and Yuen Long Plaza from Monday to Friday mornings on weekdays.
There was one 2002 Mitsubishi Rosa minibus, licence plate KL5188, in the fleet of Hop Kwan, which was retired in March 2011 and replaced by a Toyota LPG minibus.
