History[]
On 1 November 1999, Goodrich Transportation started to operate Kowloon GMB Route 43M from Charming Garden to Yau Ma Tei Station, and the route was extended to Tai Kok Tsui (Cherry Street) terminus in 2000 and has been in operation since then.
In 2003, the original operator of New Territories GMB Route 60K was withdrawn due to poor service. Goodrich Transportation, under the name of Rich Success Transportation Limited, was awarded the route and took over the operation on 4 November 2003 under a temporary Passenger Service Licence (PSL). In the selection scoring, Rich Success Transportation obtained 94.5 marks for its proposed installation of tactile signboards and non-slip flooring on its fleet, narrowly defeating Ma Ah Muk's Kiu Wan by one point. The latter filed a judicial review, arguing that the scoring system was unfair and that the company's proposal of lower fares and more frequent trips deserved to be selected. The Court of First Instance of the High Court dismissed the case on the grounds that the Transport Tribunal did not have the power to deal with matters relating to temporary PSLs, and that fares and frequency were not the sole determinants of who should be awarded the right to operate a business. [2]
On 10 April 2005, the original operators of New Territories green minibus (GMB) routes 75 and 76 were disqualified from operating the routes due to management problems. On 22 April 2005, the Government announced a re-tendering exercise for the routes, during which they would be operated by Extra Billion Investments Limited, the operator of Route 77, for the time being. Goodrich Transportation eventually acquired the right to operate the two routes under the name of "Ming Wai Public Light Bus Company Limited" and took over the operation of the routes in mid-2006.
On 27 August 2023, Goodrich Transportation extended its service area to Tseung Kwan O by introducing the brand new New Territories GMB Route 116.
