Routes[]
Due to the large fleet size of KMB's Enviro500 MMC 12-metre (ATENU/E5T) and 12.8-metre (3ATENU/E6X) buses, they can be found on many routes nowadays. Owing to their high capacity, good average performance, low emissions and better steering capability, these buses are mainly deployed on routes with high patronage or passing through expressways, routes passing through low-emission zones, routes that require order buses to pass through those areas , routes where tree barrier is required, newly-launched routes which have been awarded the right to operate tendered routes by Transport Department and which use new buses for publicity purposes and to increase patronage, other routes that require order buses to serve those routes and some short-distance routes . Of these, 12.8 metre buses are subject to road restrictions or other factors are only permitted to operate on the designated routes.
As for the Enviro500 MMC 11.3m buses (E6M), they are mainly assigned to routes unable to be served by 12m buses.
