Diamond Hill (Choi Hung Road) Public Transport Interchange (鑽石山（彩虹道）公共運輸交匯處)[1], located opposite of Rhythm Garden, Choi Hung Road, Diamond Hill, Wong Tai Sin District, Kowloon, next to Kai Cheung Court, under the flyover that connects Tate's Cairn Tunnel and Kwun Tong By-pass.
The Public Transport Interchange uses a roofed design, being roles of a bus terminus, green minibus terminus and taxi stands. The entrance of franchised bus are located at the east side, connecting the branch road of Lung Cheung Road. The exit is located on the eastbound of Choi Hung Road.
KMB and Citybus both named this stop Kai Cheung Court (啟翔苑)
History[]
The Housing Department submitted a revised plan for pedestrian connections and traffic facilities in the Diamond Hill Comprehensive Development Area (former site of Tai Hom Estate) in July 2014, which mentioned the relocation of Sze Mei Street Bus Terminus[2], to free up land for the construction of government agencies and community buildings.
The authority selected a site at the junction of Choi Hung Road and Lung Cheung Road, near Choi Hung Roundabout, to redevelop the public transport interchange[3]. The design of the new terminus is mainly based on the original Sze Mei Street terminus. It has parking spaces for franchised buses and green minibuses, but there are no parking spaces for tourist buses.[4]
The public transport interchange was finally opened on 6 January 2024, and GMB routes 1A and 1S with San Po Kong (Sze Mei Street) as the terminus were moved here immediately. All franchised bus routes that originally detoured via that terminus and then returned to the eastbound Choi Hung Road as well as Citybus Route 797 were also rerouted via this terminus, while other routes that originally served that terminus were rerouted to a roadside intermediate bus stop on westbound Choi Hung Road and has not been routed through this stop.[5][6]
