The Air-conditioned Recreation Bus Route H2K is the "Night Scene HK" (夜賞香港) HK City Sightseeing route operated by Citybus. It runs circular between Central (Star Ferry) and West Kowloon Cultural District, which this route passes through Wan Chai North, Jordan, West Kowloon Cultural District, Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay in order. It belongs to a special service to Route H1.

History[]

  • 2 November 2023: Route H2K commenced service in conjunction with the "Night Vibes Hong Kong" campaign and the scheduled operation period was up until 31 January 2024. [1]
  • 1 February 2024: The service period was extended to 30 April 2024 with departures from 21:30 and 22:00 being cancelled. [2]
  • 29 March 2024: The service period was extended to 30 June 2024. [3]
  • 1 July 2024: The service period was extended to 31 August 2024[4], however services were still provided as of now.
  • 23 July 2024: The "Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus" branding was renamed into "HK City Sightseeing" with service details remain unchanged.
  • 5 January 2025: In response to Citybus' fare increase, apart from the single journey fare increase, the Night Pass fare was also increased from $100 to $114.[5]
  • 4 August 2025:[6]
    • Detoured via Science Museum Road, Mody Road and Mody Lane at Tsim Sha Tsui with a new stop added at "Tsim Sha Tsui (East)"; after arriving at Harcourt Road, the route was rerouted via Cotton Tree Drive, Garden Road, Cotton Tree Drive, Lambeth Walk, Chater Road and Jackson Road towards Connaught Road Central with a new stop added at "St. John's Cathedral" stop.
    • New departures at 19:30 and 22:30 were introduced.

Fare Remarks
  • Half-fare for children aged below 12 and senior citizens aged 65 or above; the remainder of the fare after half-fare will be counted as 10 cents.
  • Elderly persons aged 65 or above using Senior Octopus Cards or Personalised Octopus cards, Hong Kong residents aged 60 to 64 using JoyYou Card, and eligible persons with disabilities using Personalised Octopus cards with "Persons with Disabilities Status" can enjoy a flat fare of $2.0 per journey under the $2 Concessionary Fare. If the concessionary fare for eligible persons with disabilities aged below 12 and senior citizens aged 65 or above is less than $2.0 after a 50% discount from the regular fare, the beneficiary is only required to pay the original concessionary fare; if the original full fare for Hong Kong residents aged 60 to 64 or eligible persons with disabilities is already less than $2.0, the beneficiary is also only required to pay the original full fare.
  • Passengers are required to tender exact fare by cash or by Octopus card when boarding. No exact change will be given.
  • Passengers may also use AlipayHK "EasyGo", Alipay, QuickPass, BoC Pay "RideCode", WeChat Pay HK or WeChat "Ride Code", Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay cards with inductive payment capabilities, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Huawei Pay mobile payment platforms for fare payment. Passengers using the above payment method can only enjoy the interchange concessions with other Citybus solely-operated routes or the Citybus departures of the jointly-operated routes, and cannot enjoy the "Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme" nor the "Public Transport Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Eligible Persons with Disabilities".
  • Each adult passenger can travel with up to two children under four years old who do not occupy a seat for free.

  • Half-fare concession for child aged under 12 or below or elderly aged 65 or above.
  • Unlimited travel on Routes H1, H1S, H2, H2K, H3 and H4 within 24 hours from the date of first boarding with the ticket.
  • Priority boarding on Routes H1, H1S, H2K and H3 at Central terminus.
  • Sale of Day Passes online are suspended from 17 March 2025 onwards.

Night Pass

Price: HK$114

  • Half-fare concession for child aged under 12 or below or elderly aged 65 or above.
  • Unlimited travel on Route H2K from the date of purchase until the last bus.
  • Priority boarding on Route H2K at Central (Star Ferry).
Method of purchase and usage

Choose one from the following methods:

  • Purchase on Citybus eticket website → Obtain e-ticket redemption code via email:
    • Payment method: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Alipay and WeChat Payment
    • Download "HK City Sightseeing" app from App Store or Google Play, then scan or enter the redemption code on the "Pass" → "QR Ticket" page in the app.
    • Open the app when boarding the bus, select the corresponding ticket and scan the boarding QR code at the blue e-payment machine.
  • Purchase on Citybus eticket website → Use a touchless credit card as an e-ticket:
    • Payment method: Visa, MasterCard (each credit card can only purchase one e-ticket)
    • After successful payment, passengers will receive an email confirming that the credit card used for the purchase has been bundled with the ticket.
    • Use the same credit card to swipe the sensor on the blue e-ticket machine when boarding the bus.
    • To play the audio guide, download the "HK City Sightseeing" app from the App Store or Google Play, then enter your email and order number on the "Pass" → "Redeem Order" page in the app.

At present, this route, as well as Routes H1, H1S and H2, are served by a total of 11 converted Enviro500 12m (59900-59902) double-decker semi-open-top buses and Enviro500 MMC 12m (59903-59911) double-decker semi-open-top buses. When there is a high patronage that requires temporary increase in frequency or when semi-open-top buses are unavailable, Citybus will hire non-franchised Enviro500 12m (509XX) open-top buses to replace them.
