The Cross-Harbour Bus Route 102P is jointly operated by Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) and Citybus, and is a special trip of Route 102. It runs between Shau Kei Wan and Mei Foo, passing through Aldrich Bay, Sai Wan Ho, MTR Tai Koo Station, Quarry Bay on Hong Kong Island, and Yau Ma Tei, Mong Kok (Nathan Road), Sham Shui Po (Cheung Sha Wan Road), and Cheung Sha Wan in Kowloon.

Route 102P provides an express version of Route 102 during peak hours from Monday to Friday via the Island Eastern Corridor, bypassing Fortress Hill, Tin Hau, and Causeway Bay. After crossing the harbour, it only takes 15min to get to Quarry Bay, and Tai Koo Shing[1]; The KMB Bus Route Display displays "Mei Foo (Express) 102P". It is one of the few routes of this company marked with "Express" on the route sign.

History[]

  • 29 April, 2002: Route 102P enters service, running one-way from Aldrich Garden (Oi Yin Street) to Mei Foo with services are only available during Morning Peak Hours on weekdays, via the Island Eastern Corridor. Citybus and KMB deploying the buses on this route.[2]
  • 16 June, 2002: The starting point at Aldrich Bay is moved from the roadside of Oi Yin Street to Aldrich Bay Temporary Bus Terminus on Oi Tak Street. [3]
  • 14 July, 2002: In response to the stop reorganization at Nathan Road, 102P will no longer stop at "Bute Street" and "Prince Edward MTR Station" bus stops and will stop at "Arran Street".[4]
  • 11 February, 2003: The timetable of the 102 series of routes has been modified to coincide with the opening of the overnight Route N102, all the buses on this route will be deployed by KMB; Citybus will no longer dispatch buses on this route.
  • 26 March, 2006: The Eastern District terminus is moved from Aldrich Bay (Oi Tak Street) to Shau Kei Wan, and the round trip still goes via Aldrich Bay.[5]
  • 20 September, 2010: Citybus added a return service from Mei Foo to Shau Kei Wan. The departing times are 07:15, 07:30, 07:45 and 08:00. All buses are dispatched by Citybus, allowing it to participate in the operation again; The departures from Shau Kei Wan are still operated solely by KMB.[6]
  • 18 July, 2011: The number of departures from Mei Foo to Shau Kei Wan has been increased to five, with departure times at 07:15, 07:28, 07:41, 07:54 and 08:07.[7]
  • 5 October, 2015: An additional departure was added during afternoon peak hours from Monday to Friday, with two round trips each.[8][9]
  • 17 April, 2016: KMB installed the Estimated Time of Arrival System. [10]
  • 25 March, 2017: New Section Fares implemented at Trade Square for departures to Mei Foo.[11][12]
  • 23 September, 2017: New section fares implemented at Tai On Building for departures to Shau Kei Wan.[13][14]
  • 28 May, 2018: All Citybus departures were installed with Estimated Time of Arrival systems.[15]
  • 29 August, 2022: Saturday services were cancelled.[16][17]

This route provides Estimated Time of Arrival System Enquiry Service/ "Next Bus" Arrival Time Enquiry Service , among which the red underlined trips in the above table are dispatched by KMB in which passengers are able to use KMB Monthly Pass; the rest of the trips are dispatched by Citybus in which KMB monthly pass is not accepted.

Fare Remarks
  • Half-fare for children aged below 12 and senior citizens aged 65 or above; the remainder of the fare after half-fare will be counted as 10 cents.
  • Elderly persons aged 65 or above using Senior Octopus Cards or Personalised Octopus cards, Hong Kong residents aged 60 to 64 using JoyYou Card, and eligible persons with disabilities using Personalised Octopus cards with"Persons with Disabilities Status" can enjoy a flat fare of $2.0 per journey under the $2 Concessionary Fare. If the concessionary fare for eligible persons with disabilities aged below 12 and senior citizens aged 65 or above is less than $2.0 after a 50% discount from the regular fare, the beneficiary is only required to pay the original concessionary fare; if the original full fare for Hong Kong residents aged 60 to 64 or eligible persons with disabilities is already less than $2.0, the beneficiary is also only required to pay the original full fare.
  • Passengers are required to tender exact fare by cash or by Octopus card when boarding. No exact change will be given.
  • Passengers may also use AlipayHK "EasyGo", Alipay, QuickPass, BoC Pay "RideCode", Visa, Mastercard and CUP cards with inductive payment capabilities, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay mobile payment platforms for fare payment (BoC Pay "RideCode" and JCB cards only apply to KMB departures). Passengers of KMB departures using the above payment methods can only enjoy interchange concessions with other KMB routes/jointly-operated routes (KMB departures; Passengers of Citybus/NWFB departures using the above payment methods can only enjoy interchange concessions with other Citybus/NWFB departures of Citybus/NWFB solely-operated routes. Passengers cannot enjoy the "Public Transport Fare Subsidy" and "Senior Citizens and Eligible Persons with Disabilities Programme Concessionary Scheme".
