The North Lantau External Bus Route E11B is operated by Citybus. It runs between Tung Chung (Mun Tung Estate) and Tin Hau Station, via Yat Tung Estate, Tung Chung Town Centre and Tung Chung North, taking Lantau Link and Western Harbour Crossing (WHC) to and from Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay.

The catchment area of this route is more or less the same as that of Route E11S, except that the routing of the two routes is slightly different in Tung Chung and Central.

History[]

  • 12 September 2021: Route E11B commenced service. [1][2]
  • 20 December 2021: All Hong Kong Island-bound departures were delayed for 5 minutes. [3]
  • 26 November 2023: Both bounds were detoured via Yu Nga Court, with new stops added at "Yu Nga Court" and "Yu Nga Shopping Centre" on Yi Tung Road. [4][5]

Citybus Route E11B/Detailed Timetable

Outside the service hours of this route, passengers can take the following routes between Lantau and Hong Kong Island:

  • Route E11 via Tung Chung Town Centre;
  • Route E11S that provides service only on Mondays to Fridays morning peak hours, with the similar service area;
  • In addition, Tung Chung North passengers need to take Routes E21A/E21D and change to Route E11 at Lantau Link BBI, with Octopus Interchange Concessions between the E21 series and E11 series routes, with a total fare of $21.7.
This route provides "Next Bus" Arrival Time Enquiry Service.

Fare Remarks
  • Half-fare for children aged below 12 and senior citizens aged 65 or above; the remainder of the fare after half-fare will be counted as 10 cents.
  • Elderly persons aged 65 or above using Senior Octopus Cards or Personalised Octopus cards, Hong Kong residents aged 60 to 64 using JoyYou Card, and eligible persons with disabilities using Personalised Octopus cards with "Persons with Disabilities Status" can enjoy a flat fare of $2.0 per journey under the $2 Concessionary Fare. If the concessionary fare for eligible persons with disabilities aged below 12 and senior citizens aged 65 or above is less than $2.0 after a 50% discount from the regular fare, the beneficiary is only required to pay the original concessionary fare; if the original full fare for Hong Kong residents aged 60 to 64 or eligible persons with disabilities is already less than $2.0, the beneficiary is also only required to pay the original full fare.
  • Passengers are required to tender exact fare by cash or by Octopus card when boarding. No exact change will be given.
  • Passengers may also use AlipayHK "EasyGo", Alipay, QuickPass, BoC Pay "RideCode", WeChat Pay HK or WeChat "Ride Code", Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay cards with inductive payment capabilities, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Huawei Pay mobile payment platforms for fare payment. Passengers using the above payment method can only enjoy the interchange concessions with other Citybus solely-operated routes or the Citybus departures of the jointly-operated routes, and cannot enjoy the "Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme" nor the "Public Transport Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Eligible Persons with Disabilities".

Remarks:

  • Passengers must use the same Octopus Card to enjoy the above interchange concessions.
  • Passengers can also use the same electronic payment instrument account to enjoy the interchange concessions between KMB departures or Citybus departures on the above routes, but cross-group (KMB↔Citybus) interchanges are not applicable.
  • The interchange concession is not applicable to interchanges to the same route or routes divided by "/", nor is it applicable to overnight and late night bus routes.
  • The interchange concession of $5.0 is only applicable to the Western Harbour Tunnel BBI or before, but is not limited to KMB's designated combined interchange locations.
  • Some interchange combinations cannot be used at the same time as the two-way section fares on Route 900.
  • Interchanging from the 934 series and 935 to Route 968/968A, the 960 and 961 series, Route T270, the 968 and 978 series of routes, Routes 930, 952, 962, 967 and 969 series of routes, as well as "A" Routes and "E" Routes are only applicable to Hong Kong Island or New Territories area transfers. Free second trips are not available when transferring at the Western Harbour Crossing; some Citybus interchange concessions are exclusively operated . There are also interchange concessions on Hong Kong Island between some of these routes, and the amount may be different from the Western Harbour Crossing interchanges. Please refer to the relevant entries on each route for details.
  • Passengers on Routes 976 and 976A must interchange at the Western Harbour Crossing BBI. Passengers who interchange at Tai Lam Tunnel Bus-Bus Interchange cannot enjoy the interchange concessions.
  • These interchange concessions can be used in conjunction with the interchange concession schemes for Hong Kong Island Routes, Tuen Mun Road Routes and Tai Lam Tunnel Routes.
  • The discount for children under 12 years old is calculated at half the rate; for passengers who benefit from the Public Transport Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Eligible Persons with Disabilities, if the second journey fare is the above second journey discount fare (for example, those aged 65 or above, qualified persons with disabilities, or passengers under 12 years old, the concession in halved) or $2.0, whichever is lower.   • Passengers using the same Octopus card to interchange between designated public transport modes after travelling on a designated NLB routes (in the same direction as the journey to Tung Chung Station) or from a designated public transport mode to a designated Lantau bus route (in the same direction as the journey from Tung Chung Station) within a specified period of time can enjoy a $1.0 discount on the second trip (concession amount discounted by 50% for senior citizens aged 65 or above, or children aged below 12).
  • For passengers who benefit from the Public Transport Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Eligible Persons with Disabilities, the second journey fare is the lower of the above second journey concessionary fare (50% discount for elderly aged 65 or above or eligible persons with disabilities aged below 12) and $2.0, therefore, there may be some combinations of interchanges without interchange concessions.
  • Connections to MTR are only applicable to passengers using Adult Octopus (on all above Lantau routes) or Personalised Octopus with "Persons with Disabilities Status" (except NLB routes 39M and N37) to travel on MTR fare-charging journeys.
  • The "HZMB Hong Kong Port Employee Travel Scheme" of NLB cannot be used in conjunction with this interchange concession.

This route is operated by Siu Ho Wan Depot (T) with three and seven air-conditioned double-decker buses in the morning and afternoon respectively, with common models being the regular version of Enviro500 MMC 12/12.8 metres (8507-8524/6501-6588, all equipped with luggage racks).

In addition, bus versions of the Enviro500 MMC 12/12.8m (8000-8065/6800-6871) buses are used on some peak hour or night-time trips on the Cityflyer routes, and may also be used on other daytime trips.
