The Central Pier 3 bus stop is located outside Central Pier 3, 11 Man Kwong Street, Central and Western District, Hong Kong Island. It is a one-way eastbound roadside bus terminus and intermediate bus stop. It is one of the bus stops that constitutes the Central Ferry Pier Group.
History[]
The Central-Discovery Bay ferry route was moved from the original Edinburgh Place Ferry Terminal to Pier 3 on 30 July, 2002. Since the footbridge connecting Pier 3 to the International Finance Center shopping mall was not yet completed at the time, Citybus operated the Route M16 from 30 July, 2002 to 17 April, 2003, to facilitate ferry passengers between the Central and Sheung Wan business districts and the MTR station.
In the past Citybus called this stop "Pier 3". In 2002, the station was given a local name, and then the Chinese name was changed to Chinese numerals were converted to Arabic numerals; NWFB once called this station "Pier No.3", which was later changed to February 2004 The current Chinese name and English name are "Central Ferry Pier No.3", which is the same as the current name KMB for this station, but the Chinese name used by KMB is "Central Pier 3", using Chinese numerals.
