Cathay City Bus Terminus (國泰城總站) is located within Cathay City at 8 Scenic Road, Hong Kong International Airport, Islands District, New Territories, with stops at main entrance and rear entrance respectively. It is only used by several non-franchised bus routes and no stop flags are set up.
History[]
Cathay Pacific's corporate headquarters is located at Hong Kong International Airport's Cathay City, which opened in November 1999 and houses a 10-storey office building, a 23-storey staff hotel, "Headland Hotel", an amenities centre, a store building and a flight training centre.
Cathay Pacific outsources its staff bus service to Kwoon Chung Motors, which operates 19 morning routes and flexible return routes to take staff between Cathay Pacific City and various parts of Hong Kong and Kowloon during morning and off-duty hours at a fare that is around 10 to 20% lower than franchised buses[1][2][3] per journey. Cathay Pacific also arranges shuttle buses for crew members to and from Cathay Pacific City, Cathay House and the Airport Passenger Terminal Building.
In the Kai Tak Airport era, Cathay Pacific was headquartered in Chater House in Central and had offices at the old airport. Upon the opening of Cathay City (former English name of the building), the head office and offices were moved to the new airport.
The English name of building was changed to Cathay Pacific City between late 2016 and 2025, but the residents' bus operators, including Discovery Bay Transit Services and Park Island Transport, still used the old name as the English name of the stop.
