The Aircraft Maintenance Area (飛機維修區, Citybus Location Code AMA, LWB Location Code 機維) is located at the off-street lay-by opposite to China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) and Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) at South Perimeter Road, Hong Kong International Airport (Logistics Area), Islands District, New Territories.
It is the westernmost bus terminus for Citybus and Long Win Bus (LWB).
History[]
This bus terminus was opened on 22 June 1998 with the opening of the Airport Logistics Area. It is an on-street bus terminus located at the end of the South Perimeter Road, and at the beginning of its operation, Citybus Route S52 (to/from Tung Chung MTR Station) and Citybus Route S54 (to/from Chek Lap Kok Ferry Pier) were the only bus routes using this terminus. With the cancellation of Route S54 with effect from 2 June 1999 to tie in with the Airport Route Reorganisation, Route S52 became the only bus route using this terminus for more than 20 years.
On 27 September 2015, Citybus Route E22C came into service between Tiu Keng Leng Station and this terminus, and was the first franchised bus route since the opening of the Airport Logistics Area in June 1998 to operate directly from the Aircraft Maintenance Area to areas outside Lantau. On 22 August 2016, Citybus Route E21C was put into service to and from Tai Kok Tsui (Island Harbourview) and this stop, the second franchised bus route from the AMA directly to areas outside Lantau. Starting from 23 July 2018 Citybus split Route S52A from Route S52 between Tung Chung North and this stop.
On 20 December 2021, LWB concurrently operated routes E37C and E42C between Tin Shui Wai Town Centre, Pok Hong and this stop respectively, which were the first LWB routes serving the Business Aviation Area (BAA) However, the above routes were only operated during peak hours, and as a result, since the cancellation of Route S54 on 2 June 1999, Route S52 has remained the only franchised bus route serving the AMA on a full-time basis.
There is no regulator on duty at this stop, and the scheduled journey time of Route S52 is not long, so buses usually arrive at the stop and leave a few moments after loading and unloading.

The bus stop is in close proximity to the Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO, 香港飛機工程有限公司), China Aircraft Services Company Limited (CASL, 中國飛機服務有限公司), Airport Gate House No.5, the Airport Ground Maintenance Building and the Marine Rescue West Bureau of the Airport Fire Services Department. The Hongkong Post Post Box 577 is located in front of the stop.
The section of South Perimeter Road to the south of the stop is located at the end of the airport's Runway 07R/25L, which is a popular spot for aviation enthusiasts and photographers to take photos.
