Route introductions[]

  • 2006: New Territories GMB routes 56B and 56C entered service.
  • 2007: Hong Kong Island GMB Route 39S entered service.
  • 2018: KMB Route X42P and Cross-Harbour Bus Route 962E entered service.

Route cancellations[]

  • 2013: Residents' Bus Route NR736 ceased service.
  • 2023: Citybus Route 96 ceased service.

Route changes[]

  • 1982: CMB Route 5 was extended from Causeway Bay (Magistracy) to Causeway Bay (Whitfield Road).
  • 1989: The termini of KMB Route 1K and KMB Route 2K were extended from Mong Kok KCR Station to Kowloon Station.
  • 1995: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 171 was rerouted via Canal Road Flyover for South Horizons direction.
  • 1996: KMB Route 42 was rerouted via Ching Lai Court and Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park towards Lai King Hill Road and Kwai Fuk Road.
  • 2006:
    • Cross-Harbour Bus Route 914 and Cross-Harbour Bus Route 971 were extended from Nam Cheong Station to Hoi Lai Estate.
    • New Territories GMB Route 56K special departures via Tan Chuk Hang and jointly-operated Route 52K special departures from Siu Hang Tsuen were independently numbered as 56B and 56C respectively.
  • 2018:
    • Service area of KMB Route X42C was expanded to Yau Tong and all trips no longer served Cheung On Bus Terminus.
    • Special service of Cross-Harbour Bus Route 962C from Sam Shing to Tai Koo (Kornhill Plaza) was introduced.
  • 2023:
    • Citybus Route 99 was detoured via Canal Road West and Causeway Road for Shau Kei Wan direction.
    • KMB Route 288 was extended to Shui Chuen O (Upper).
    • Monday to Friday evening service of KMB Route 288B from Fo Tan (Shan Mei Street) to Shui Chuen O was introduced.
    • KMB Route 288C was extended to Hin Keng with Monday to Friday morning service from Hin Keng to Shui Chuen O (Upper) also introduced.
