Major events

• 2009: The improvement works for Tung Chung Road was completed. NLB routes 3M, 11, 23, A35 and N35 were rerouted via the new Tung Chung Road between Pak Kung Au and San Shek Wan, while the original section between Pak Kung Au and Cheung Sha was permanently closed.

Route introductions

• 1984: KMB Route 39A entered service.
• 1997: CMB routes N10, N23, N38, N590 and KMB Route N268 entered service.
• 2016: NWFB Route X8 entered service.
• 2023: Citybus Route B7, New Territories GMB routes 59A and 59S entered service.

Route changes

• 1984:
  • KMB Route 59A was extended from Cheung Sha Wan to Sham Shui Po Ferry.
  • KMB Route 39M was shortened to Tsuen Wan MTR Station.
• 1991: New Territories GMB Route 67K detoured via Cheshire Home towards A Kung Kok during morning peak hours and towards Sha Tin KCR Station during evening peak hours on Mondays to Fridays.
• 2017:
  • KMB Route 5D was enhanced to a daily, whole-day service.
  • KMB Route 272A detoured via Fo Chun Road with a new stop at Fo Chun Road roundabout after reaching Pak Shek Kok (Fo Shing Road) Bus Terminus.
• 2023: Wan Chai All-China Express resumed service with the terminus relocated from Wan Chai North to Exhibition Centre Station.

Terminus openings

• 2023: Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point Public Transport Interchange commenced operations together with the Passenger Clearance Building of Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point.
