Major events[]

  • 2022: The age eligibility for the $2 Scheme was lowered from 65 to 60 with expansions to designated Public Light Bus roues, kaito routes and trams. Persons aged 60 to 64 must use a registered JoyYou Card to enjoy the concession. The fare concession for passengers aged 60 to 64 implemented unilaterally by Citybus was also terminated on the same day.

  • 2005: East Tsim Sha Tsui Station Public Transport Interchange was opened.

  • 1984: KMB Route 82K entered service.
  • 1989: KMB Route 30X entered service.
  • 2010: KMB Route 258P entered service.

Route changes[]

  • 1981: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 116 was rerouted via Canal Road bus-only road.
  • 1995: New Territories GMB Route 17 omitted Yan Ming Court for daily morning peak hour services; two new short-working special service was introduced to operate from Yan Ming Court and Po Hong Road respectively to Lam Tin MTR Station.
  • 2005: The terminus of KCR Bus Route K16 was relocated into East Tsim Sha Tsui Station Public Transport Interchange.
  • 2011: The Kowloon termini of Cross-Harbour Bus Routes 973 and 973P were relocated from Tsim Sha Tsui (East) to Tsim Sha Tsui (Mody Road). Route 973 no longer called at en-route stops "Hong Kong Science Museum" and "Mody Road" for Stanley direction.
  • 2015: The termini of KMB Route 276P, MTR Bus routes K75 and K76 were relocated from Tin Shui Wai Station Public Transport Interchange to Kiu Cheong Road East Public Transport Interchange.
  • 2017:
    • Except for weekday morning peak hour services to Hong Kong Island, services on all other periods and to Ma On Shan on Cross-Harbour Bus Route 682 were extended to Wu Kai Sha Station; evening services on Route 682A were extended to Nai Chung; Route 682B was rerouted to enter Ngau Pei Sha Street directly via Chap Wai Kon Street from Ngan Shing Street for Chai Wan (East) direction; new trips from Nai Chung and Wu Kai Sha Station respectively via Lee On Bus Terminus and Kam Ying Road on Route 682P were introduced.
    • Citybus routes E21X and E22S detoured via Ying Tung Road for both bounds; Route S56 detoured via Ying Tung Road for Airport (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) direction and the special service from Seaview Crescent to Cathay Pacific City (East) on Monday to Friday mornings was cancelled.
  • 2022:
    • All trips on NWFB Route N796 were extended to terminate at LOHAS Park, and all trips from Tseung Kwan O were rerouted via Cha Kwo Ling Road, Lei Yue Mun Road and Kwun Tong Road in lieu of Kwun Tong Bypass after Tseung Kwan O Road to resume original routing at Kai Fuk Road, with an additional stop at "Millennium City" on Kwun Tong Road.
    • MTR Bus Route K53 detoured via Kwun Chui Road cor Tuen Mun Station direction with a new stop at "[[18 Kwun Chui Road]" to replace the stop "Avignon on So Kwun Wat Road.
