Route introductions

• 1980: New Territoriee GMB routes 87 and 88 entered service.
• 1997: KMB Route 287K entered service.
• 2005: Kowloon GMB Route 80M entered service.
• 2013: Hong Kong Island GMB Route 10P entered service.
• 2017: DBTSL routes T2, T3, T4 and T9entered service.
• 2019: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 682D entered service.

Route changes

• 1970: The Yuen Long termini of first generation KMB Route 17, KMB Route 18A and first generation KMB Route 26 was relocated from Yuen Long Main Road near Tung Lok Theatre (now Yuen Long Landmark) to Yuen Long (West).
• 1978: The Cheung Ching termini of KMB routes 43 and 44A were relocated to the the present-day bus terminus located outside Cheung Ching Estate Community Centre.
• 1979: Holiday services on KMB routes 207 and 208 were introduced.
• 2001: KMB Route 273A detoured via Wah Ming Road for Choi Yuen direction.
• 2002: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 307 was upgraded to a whole-day service on weekdays.
• 2013: Some trips towards South Horizons during Monday to Friday mornings on Cross-Harbour Bus Route 171 were changed to terminate at Tung Hing House Lei Tung Estate and omitting South Horizons, while some trips would proceed directly to South Horizons without serving Lei Tung.
• 2017: With the road improvement works, Discovery Bay Pier Bus Terminus was closed from early morning onwards with the original routes being relocated to the en-route stops along Discovery Bay Road. Reorganisations of some bus routes are as follows:
  • DBTSL Route 1 was renumbered as T1;
  • DBTSL Route 6 was renumbered as T6;
  • The Discovery Bay terminus of DBTSL routes DB01R and DB03R was relocated to Marina Drive.
• 2018: Citybus Route 48 (to Wah Fu (North)) and NWFB Route 78 (to Wah Kwai Estate) were rerouted via eastbound Heung Yip Road and Ocean Park Road after leaving Wong Chuk Hang Station Public Transport Interchange before resuming the original routing at Wong Chuk Hang Road.
• 2019: KMB Route 69P was extended to depart from Tin Shui Wai Station Station and resumed original routing at Tin Yiu Bus Terminus after Ping Ha Road and Tin Yiu Road. Tin Tsz special service on KMB Route 269C was rerouted via Ping Ha Road and Hung Tin Road afterTin Yiu Road to resume original routing at Yuen Long Highway.
• 2024: The Kai Tak termini of Citybus routes 78C, 78X, A25 and Kowloon GMB Route 82 were relocated to Kai Tak Public Transport Interchange.
