Major events[]

  • 1988: The Executive Council passed a motoon to increase the number of seats on Public Light Buses from 14 to 16.
  • 2003: With the permanent closure of Jordan Road Ferry Bus Terminus, KMB routes 36B, 42A, 46, 60X, 63X, 68X, 69X, 70, 81, 95, 296D and Cross-Harbour Bus Route 110 were changed to terminate at the newly-opened Jordan (Wui Cheung Road).

Route introductions[]

  • 1999: Kowloon GMB Route 70 entered service.
  • 2004: First generation KMB Route 69C and KMB Route 268C entered service.
  • 2013: Hong Kong Island GMB Route 10S and Residents’ Bus Route HR88 entered service.
  • 2024: Residents’ Bus Route NR730NR732 entered service.

Route cancellations[]

  • 2004: KMB Route 63P ceased service.
  • 2009: Citybus Route S56A ceased service.
  • 2013: Hong Kong Island GMB Route 10X ceased service.

Route changes[]

  • 1967: First generation KMB Route 2B was extended from Kwun Tong (Yue Man Square) to Sau Mau Ping; KMB Route 13A was extended to Lower Sau Mau Ping.
  • 1989: The Wong Tai Sin terminus of KMB routes 3A, 6B, 11 and Cross-Harbour Bus Route 106 was relocated to the newly-completed covered terminus at Tung Tau Tsuen Road and Shatin Pass Road junction.
  • 2009: Some trips during daily mornings and evenings on Citybus Route S56 additionally called at Tung Chung New Development Pier.
  • 2020:
    • KMB Route 275R was extended from Bride’s Pool to Wu Kau Tang.
    • With the closure of Discovery Bay Temporary Bus Terminus, all DBTSL routes originally serving the terminus no longer called there.
