Route introductions[]

  • 1994: CMB Route 66 entered service.
  • 1996: First generation KMB Route 287P entered service.
  • 2001: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 970X entered service.
  • 2002: KMB Route 261P entered service.
  • 2004: Cross-Harbour Bus Route N914 provided service on that day only.
  • 2012: NWFB Route 798R entered service.
  • 2018: KMB Route 38B entered service.

Route cancellations[]

  • 1993: Second generation KCR Bus Route A58 ceased service.
  • 1994: CMB Route 261 ceased service.

Route changes[]

  • 1963: Some trips on CMB Route 2 were shifted to double-decker buses, making it the first route on Hong Kong Island to be operated by double-decker buses.
  • 1979: KMB Route 15C was rerouted via Lam Tin (North) for Kwun Tong (Yue Man Square), omitting Kai Tin Building.
  • 1994: CMB Route 64 and CMB Route 262 were extended from Chung Hom Kok to Ma Hang.
  • 1996:
    • Cross-Harbour Bus Route 110 was extended from Tsim Sha Tsui East to Jordan Road Ferry.
    • Cross-Harbour Bus Route 170 no longer detoured via Shatin Central Bus Terminus for Wah Fu direction.
  • 2001: Special services on Cross-Harbour Bus Route 970 from Tin Wan were cancelled.
  • 2007:
    • Citybus Route 85 additionally observed Siu Sai Wan Estate terminus for North Point Ferry Pier direction.
    • Services between MTR Tung Chung Station and Yat Tung Estate (via Chung Yat Street) on NLB Route 37 were cancelled.
    • The Aberdeen terminus of Hong Kong Island GMB Route 35M was relocated to Tung Sing Road between Aberdeen Main Road and Tsung Man Street.
  • 2017:
  • 2018: KMB Route 34 was rerouted to enter Tsuen Wan West Station Public Transport Interchange via Tai Chung Road Roundabout and the slip road of Hoi Hing Road after Tai Chung Road for Kwai Shing (Central) direction.
