Route introductions

• 1962: First generation KMB Route 31 entered service.
• 1997: New Territories GMB Route 20A entered service.
• 1999: Kowloon GMB Route 46 entered service.
• 2013: KMB Route 15X entered service.
• 2018: KMB routes R215, R230, R241, R260, R261, R269, R283 and R287 entered service.
• 2019: NWFB Route 720X entered service.

Route cancellations

• 2013: Residents' Bus Route NR920 ceased service.

Route changes

• 1962:
  • The terminus of first generation KMB Route 19 was relocated from Castle Peak to Castle Peak Bay.
  • First generation KMB Route 23 was rerouted via Kam Sheung Road.
• 2006: KMB routes 67M and 67X omitted Tseng Choi Street and was rerouted via Castle Peak Road - San Hui instead.
• 2013: Morning peak hour services of KMB Route 215X towards Kowloon Railway Station omitted "Cooke Street Hung Hom stop.
• 2017: The daily first departure from Tsuen Wan (Discovery Park) and last departure from Airport (Ground Transportation Centre) on LWB Route A31P were detoured via Tsing Lung Tau on a trial basis.
• 2018: Cross-Harbour Bus Route R603 was changed to depart from On Tai (West), which would return to original routing after Sau Mau Ping, Hing Tin and Ping Tin.
• 2019:
  • Morning departures on KMB Route 82P was changed to operate one-way from Shek Mun Estate to Diamond Hill Station without returning to Sha Tin, with the service hour also changed to 06:25-09:45; evening services were also changed to operate from Diamond Hill Station to Shek Mun Estate without passing through Wong Tai Sin and San Po Kong.
  • NWFB Route 88X was rerouted via Central - Wan Chai Bypass, Lung King Street and Fenwick Pier Street towards Harcourt Road.
  • Cross-Harbour Bus Route 101X (Kowloon-bound), as well as routes 962E, 967X, 969X (Hong Kong Island-bound) were rerouted via Man Po Street, Yiu Sing Street, Lung Wo Road and Tim Wa Avenue after Rumsey Street Flyover towards Harcourt Road.
  • Cross-Harbour Bus Routes 962C and 969C were rerouted via Central - Wan Chai Bypass directly to Island Eastern Corridor for Tai Koo (Kornhill Plaza) direction.
  • Departures before 08:40 on Cross-Harbour Bus Route 969P, as well as Hong Kong Island GMB routes 10P, 31X and 28 (Hill Road Flyover express special trips) were rerouted via Man Po Street, Yiu Sing Street, Lung Wo Road and Edinburgh Place after Rumsey Street Flyover towards Harcourt Road.
  • KMB Route 89R was rerouted via Sha Tin Central, Yuen Wo Road (Lek Yuen Estate and Wo Che Estate), Tai Chung Kiu Road (City One Shatin and Ravana Garden) towards A Kung Kok Street, omitting Sha Tin Wai Road, Ngau Pei Sha Street, Kwong Yuen Estate and Siu Lek Yuen Road.
