Route introductions[]

  • 1994: KMB Route 88P entered service.
  • 2011: Cross-Harbour Bus Routes R680 and R948 entered service.
  • 2017: Cross-Harbour Bus Routes 980X and 981P entered service.

Route changes[]

  • 1984: KMB Route 2A was extended from Ngau Tau Kok to Lok Wah.
  • 1991:
    • KMB routes 30 and 42 were rerouted via Kau Wa Keng for Jordan Road Ferry/Shun Lee direction, omitting Princess Margaret Hospital Interchange and Kwai Chung Road.
    • KMB Route 45 was extended from Lai King to Lai Yiu.
  • 1995: KMB Route N241 detoured via Lai King Hill Road between Kwai Chung Hospital and Lai King Estate.
  • 2010: The terminus of KMB Route 5 was relocated from Tsim Sha Tsui East (Mody Road) back to Star Ferry.
  • 2017: New evening peak hour service on KMB Route 267X was introduced to operate from Lam Tin Station to Siu Hong Court.

Industrial action[]

  • 2017: As taxis and minibuses stopped outside Sogo Department Store, Causeway Bay frequently for waiting that buses were unable to accurately stop to pick up and drop pff passengers, Ng Yuen-ting, Wan Chai District Councillor, had been demanding the Police for strict enforcement, causing many bus captains to be issued with ticket fines. The incident aroused anger from bus captains and thus launched an industrial action that they would only open the doors for boarding and alighting after the bus had entered the bus stop area. The KMB staff union demanded Ng to apologise or the action would be continued.
