Route introductions[]

  • 1930: Third generation Kai Tack Motor Bus Route 5 entered service.
  • 1977: KMB Route 46 and first generation KMB Route 78A entered service.
  • 2010: Kowloon GMB Route 78A entered service.
  • 2016: KMB routes R270, R271, as well as cross-harbour bus routes R108, R603, R673, R678, R934, R936, R960 and R961 entered service.

Route cancellations[]

  • 2015: New Territories GMB Route 611C ceased service.

Route changes[]

  • 1987: The terminus of KMB Route 72A was relocated from Tai Wai to Tai Wai KCR Station
  • 1999: KCR Bus Route A59 was rerouted to omit Kin Wing Street and Kin Fat Street and instead passed through Tsun Wen Road between Greenland Garden and Tuen Mun Police Station.
  • 2004: Lei Muk Shue Estate Public Transport Interchange was opened with the termini of KMB Route 36B, KMB Route 36M and Cross-Harbour Bus Route 336 simultaneously relocated from Lei Shu Road to there.
  • 2010: Kowloon GMB Route 78 detoured via Sham Mong Road (Harbour Green and HSBC Centre) for both directions.
  • 2011:
  • 2015: New Territories GMB routes 75 and 76 rerouted via Yuen Long On Lok Road and Tai Kiu Road after Castle Peak Road - Yuen Long towards Yuen Long On Ning Road in lieu of Kik Yeung Road for Yuen Long (Fook Hong Street) direction between 14:00 and 19:00 daily.
