Major events

• 2019: Tolls for franchised buses at government-owned tunnels and toll roads were exempted. Bus companies would establish a dedicated account for the "Franchised Bus Toll Exemption Fund" to reduce the fare increase pressure on franchised bus operators with the tolls saved.

Route introductions

• 1975: KMB routes 200, 201, First generation Route 202, 207 and 208 entered service.
• 1980: New Territories GMB routes 85 and 86 entered service.
• 1988: CMB Route 392 entered service.
• 1997: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 621 entered service.
• 2002: New Territories GMB Route 26 entered service.
• 2020: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 682X entered service.

Route cancellations

• 1985: First generation KMB Route 5M ceased service.
• 2003: KMB Route N268 ceased service.

Route changes

• 1977: Special auxiliary service on CMB Route 82 between Chai Wan (San Ha Street) and Victoria Park Flower Market during Lunar New Year Fair was introduced.
• 1986: Morning special service on KMB Route 82K was introduced to operate from Mei Lam to Tai Wai KCR Station.
• 1988: Cross-Harbour Bus Route 111A wad renumbered as 111S; Cross-Harbour Bus Route 112A was renumbered as 112S.
• 1990: KMB routes 64K, 65K, 70, 71X, and 73A detoured via Tai Wo Bus Terminus.
• 1995: The South Horizons termini of Citybus routes 90B, N90, CMB routes 99, 399, 590, 592, 595 and Cross-Harbour Bus Route 171 were relocated to the covered public transport interchange.
• 1997:
  • CMB Route 788 was changed to a bidirectional service during evening peak hours.
  • Evening trips on KMB Route 46P detoured via Mei Chung Court.
• 1998: KMB Route 70 detoured via Wing Fai Centre for both bounds.
• 2020: New short-working special service on New Territories GMB Route 28S was introduced to run route between Pak Shek Kok and Fo Tan Station during morning and evening peak hours on Mondays to Fridays.
• 2025: Weekday evening return service on KMB Route 270D was introduced to operate from Sham Shui Po (Yen Chow Street) to Fanling (Luen Wo Hui).
