Major events/incidents

• 2017: At around 9:00 pm, a Citybus Enviro500 (8147/PH1273) travelling on route 681 to Central (Hong Kong Station) was travelling on Lei Yue Mun Road near the exit of Lam Tin Bus Terminus when it suddenly lost control of the vehicle, hit a curb and overturned to the left, resulting in six serious injuries and one female passenger died at the scene. Route introductions

• 1991: KCR Feeder Bus Route K16 entered service.
• 2019: KMB routes 31P and 213A entered service.

Route cancellations

• 2013: Citybus routes R11 and R22 ceased service.

Route changes

• 1990: The terminus of KMB Route 71S was relocated from Fu Shin to Kwong Fuk.
• 1991: A new short-working service during morning peak hour to noon on Kowloon GMB Route 51M was introduced, running between Kai Lok Street Kai Yip Estate and Kowloon Bay MTR Station.
• 2001:
  • KCR Bus Route K51 was extended from Tseng Choi Street to Fu Tai.
  • KMB routes 43X, 81C, 89C and 286M detoured via Kam Tai Court.
• 2002: A new special service on KMB Route 58M from Po Tin to Kwai Fong MTR Station was introduced.
• 2003: The Causeway Bay terminus of Hong Kong Island GMB Route 28 was relocated from Hoi Ping Road to Sun Wui Road.
• 2008: NWFB Route 796C was extended from So Uk to Nam Cheong Station.
• 2019:
  • The morning special service of KMB Route 31M which operate non-stop directly to Metroplaza and Kwai Fong Station via Cheung Wing Road Flyover was renumbered as 31P.
  • Return service of KMB Route 74E was introduced.
  • A special service of KMB Route 290A from Upper Sau Mau Ping to Tsuen Wan West Station during mornings on Mondays to Fridays was introduced.
  • Cross-Harbour Bus Routes 962, 962A, 962P, 962S, 969A, 969B and 969P detoured via Macau Ferry Bus Terminus for Hong Kong Island direction.
  • The starting point of Cross-Harbour Bus Route X962 was relocated to Central (Hong Kong Station).
  • LWB routes A33P and A33X additionally called at "Siu Yin House Siu Hong Court" stop on Tsing Lun Road for Airport (Ground Transportation Centre) direction; Route A33X additionally called at "Kei Lun Wai" stop on Tsing Lun Road for Tuen Mun (Fu Tai) direction.
